Autograph letter : Woodford, to Arthur Moore, [1889 Aug. 18].

Lamenting his lack of tobacco and describing an outing with Victor Plarr. Referencing the demise of The Critic, assuming that it was not published that week and noting that if it has been issued, it is definately the last number "unless there happen a miracle." Referencing Dowson's article "The Cult of the Child" which was intended to appear in that issue, and promising to send Moore a copy if it was indeed printed (it was). Mentioning that he intends to send the manuscript of their collaborative work "The Passion of Dr. Ludovicus" to more publishers, and discussing characters and plot points of their novel in progress, "Felix Martyr."
